Bucknell Cycling is a club sport that encourages fun and fitness year round. While our competitive season is in the spring, we have team rides and activities throughout the year. Our team is well known around campus not only for the smoothest legs, but also for our lighthearted yet animated crew and atmosphere. This year, four of our top riders, Jeff Salvitti, Aaron Meyers, Aaron Cravez and Matt Means qualified for the National Cycling Championships. At nationals, our Team placed 8th in the team time trial, Jeff Salvitti captured 11th in the Criterium, while Aaron Meyers placed 30th in the Crit. The Bucknell Cycling team, as a whole, earned points throughout the season to gain an overall standing of 10th out of 55 for the East Coast Cycling Conference and 4th out of 34 teams in our Division. More importantly, in the annual ECCC survey, the BUCKNELL CYCLING TEAM as a whole swept the award for SEXIEST TEAM, garnering the award for the third year in a row. Last year, we hosted an awesome race, on campus, with 500 riders from several schools in attendance, and we look forward to doing the same this coming year. Join us in the fall for your own taste of our fun. Bring yourself, your bike, and your unique personality to add to our eclectic collection of characters. No road bike yet? Not sure what to look for or where to look? No need to go spend a fortune on a new bike, check out e-bay, local ads and bike stores for quality second hand equipment for a smaller price. Unlike most club teams we have no additional annual fee! You only have to purchase your equipment!
For more information, e-mail or facebook Jeff Salvitti (jsal1410@gmail.com) or Sinead O'Dwyer (sro004@bucknell.edu)!
We look forward to seeing you all in the fall!
