Hello fans, family, friends, and cycling enthusiasts! I'd like to welcome you all to my online journal. Throughout the summer I plan on updating the journal frequently to keep everyone involved with my training/race schedule as well as daily personal achievements...what Bucknell cyclists refer to as "Personal Victories." So, any entry with a "PV" denotes a good day. Anyhow, I just wanted to get the ball rolling here and will lay out my summer plans soon. Ciao!
Until next time...keep riding...

Fellow Cyclii,
Sorry for keeping everyone waiting so long since my last post. It has been an extremely busy month. I have moved all my important belongings to New York City for the summer, i.e., my bike and clothes. I have a consulting internship here in the city, and am starting to realize what working 50+ hours a week is like. Doesn't leave much time for training(in day-light), but I have been doing my best. The weekends have become a lot more important to my training. To be honest, I don't know if you could actually call it "training" right now. It's more like "gaining weight prevention." Anyhow, I was able to get in 3 hours today just cruising around Manhattan and parts of Brooklyn. I have always wanted to be a bike messenger in the city, but of course, this is not very appealing to my mother. So, I do my best weaving around cabs and ducking through traffic as much as possible on the weekends. There really isn't much else you can do on a bike that is more exciting!
I have also been spending plenty of time following the World Cup over the past few weeks (GO ITALIA!!!). I am a former soccer player, so that may explain why I am talking about soccer in my cycling journal. Hey if you're curious about cycling but have never tried it before, BU cycling is an excellent place to start!
Just a few weeks ago there was quite the BU cycling gathering in Philadelphia for the Philadelphia International Championship. I drove down with "Big Show" aka Eric Salzer, and we met up with Todd, Charlie, Teal, Adam, and Mike Chauner. We all enjoyed a great day of racing in the sun with our VIP passes of course, courtesy of Michael (Thanks Buddy). If you have never seen a professional cycling race, this is the place to start! The Chauner's once again put on an AWESOME show. I suggest everyone attend yearly!
Until next time...keep riding...
